The second most common cause of not being to play one of our releases is a corrupt download. All files are checked before we release, and we can guarantee that files are not corrupt when they left our servers. The 8 characters appended to the end of all releases aren’t there for decoration. This is a CRC hash of the file. If you generate a CRC hash of your file (hashmyfiles.exe), and your CRC matches the stated CRC, then your file is an identical copy. However, if you get a different CRC, then your file has changed, or corrupted. The most common cause is due to an incomplete download. To fix this issue, redownload the file from wherever you got it from. If you discover that a file is incomplete on any of our XDCC bots, then you can report this to us via IRC or email.
